Crochet-a-Longs!

I am horrible at this regular posting thing! Sorry!!!

Anyway, school is going well.  :)  I am in the middle of class #3!


And in my not school ,not work, not volunteering time...I have been crafting!  I found a cool thing on Moogly--a crochet-a-long (aka CAL)!!  There is a year long one for an afghan (you end up with 24 12" squares), which I have yet to start...partially because I didn't know about it until March.  AND a mini CAL to make a bag!!  I have started my bag!

I like that the patterns are released little by little...it makes the task less daunting to me.

Back to School - Part 1

I'm going for a Masters in Education (Curriculum & Instruction - STEM)!  Classes start on Jan 25, it's all online, and I will be done in about a year - give or take a few days!
Nervous and excited - haven't done the online thing before, but new opportunities await!

Eventually, I will return to school again for biochem and/or to be a physician's assistant...but later!

Working on Xmas Gifts (edited)

here is a wonderful hat I found - I am making a spin-off for Oma!

I have a few other things in the mix too!

Currently: 

• I've designed a neck warmer (by request) for my step-dad that's ALMOST done - I think I have 3-4 rows left...we'll see.  I've written it all down, so it should be reproducible if you're looking for one too!



These are based off a pattern I found HERE

• AND I am making little stockings for my Sunday School class - stick some candy canes and other long skinny objects in 'em and we're good to go!

Need to Do/Find:

• A scarf pattern for Opa? . . . maybe I'll make him a neck warmer too...
• Something for Mutti
• ? Maybe something for my sister (but she's got A LOT of things I've made her already...) - she's getting clothing with my hard work put into fixing/altering it

World Toliet Day & a TP Scarf Pattern

I've got a wonderful friend living in London who has an AMAZING little business that she started - The London Loo Tours.  Yep, that's right, she takes you on tours of toilets.

Crochet Hats...

I've made SEVERAL hats now...I put that poor frog by the wayside for a bit.

I have made 4 versions of this hat with various tops, no poof, various colours, etc.!Pattern originally from CrochetMe

today...i started crochet

i picked the worst first project (a stuffed frog for those who are wondering)

BUT! Challenge Accepted!  I have a long car ride to figure it out!

It's October! The leaves are falling and the cold is coming!  Halloween is soon upon us - have you picked out your costume yet?!?  Pumpkins to carve and apple goodies to make!

Lights, Camera, Symphony!

...also known as RSOC's 2nd outdoor concert!  All movie themes!  John Williams, James Horner, Disney classics, Les Mis, Hans Zimmerman, The Sound of Music!

The Gonda building made a great shell, the weather held off, and there were 2500+ people crammed into Peace Plaza to see Jere Lantz conduct the orchestra and give mini-history lessons.
